Since forming in 2009, we have worked towards bettering ourselves, our animals, and our industry.  In doing so, we have met thousands of people along the way who want to do the same.  Joining together, we have accomplished great feats and are soaring towards new goals each year.

To help keep our organization working properly, we have created five chapters to divide the state into areas where members can easily meet with one another.  Our current chapters are:

  • Northeast Indiana

  • Northwest Indiana

  • Southern Indiana

  • Eastern Indiana

  • Allen County

Our Calling

Animal Rights organizations are increasingly impacting the animal world. They are not only threatening the agriculture industry as a whole, but they are also threatening the right to own animals in general. The Animal Rights activists feel that we, the American public, are not good enough to own or use animals. These groups work around the clock to eliminate:

  • Animal Farming

  • Meat and dairy consumption

  • Fishing

  • Hunting

  • Circuses

  • Zoos

  • Owning any animal as a family pet

ICAW has been established to protect the rights of animal owners in Indiana and ensure the welfare of all animals. This

is a huge undertaking and it comes at a price.

We can no longer stay silent while animal rights activists work to take away our rights. We must join together, as one solid unit, to continue to fight for the freedoms and rights we have in this country.

Join us, as we stand for our right to own and control our animals.

Our History

Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW) was established during the 2009 Indiana legislative session by a group of concerned, dedicated citizens who love their animals and felt strongly that their rights to own and control them were dangerously being threatened.

ICAW represents a wide range of individuals who are passionate about their animals and believe strongly in protecting their rights concerning them.
